The trade-off is not really weather against price, since the two extremes of the year — the cool months and the peak summer heat — are also the two extremes of cost. December and January book out earliest specifically because Dubai Shopping Festival and New Year land inside that same 18–28°C window, so the best weather and the highest demand always coincide, not just by chance.
The 30–50% summer discount only pays off if your itinerary is genuinely indoor: waterparks, malls and hotel pools work in 42–48°C heat, but anything designed for a cooler climate does not become bearable just because the room is cheap. Shoulder months in April and October are the underused middle ground — worse weather than the cool season, none of the premium pricing, and none of the extreme heat either.
