Corrections

How to report inaccurate or outdated information on Dubai Practical — and what happens next.

Last updated: May 2026

Dubai Practical is only as useful as its accuracy. UAE laws, fees, and regulations change frequently — and we rely on readers, professionals, and residents to help us keep every page current. If you've found something wrong, outdated, or misleading, please tell us.

48-hour commitment

We review all correction submissions within 48 hours. Confirmed corrections are applied within 24 hours of verification. We do not argue with correct corrections.

How to submit a correction

You can submit a correction in two ways:

On-page correction button

Every page has a “Spot an error?” button near the bottom. Click it to open a quick inline form pre-filled with the page URL. Fastest method.

Email us directly

For complex corrections, professional expert input, or matters requiring a conversation:

What to include

The more detail you can provide, the faster we can verify and correct. Helpful information:

Page URL

The full URL of the page with the error (e.g. https://dubaipractical.com/visas). This helps us find the exact passage.

What is wrong

The specific claim you believe is incorrect. Quote the exact text if possible.

What is correct

The accurate information. If you have a source, please link to it — especially official UAE government URLs.

When it changed

If you know the date a regulation, fee, or rule changed, include it. This helps us establish the timeline.

Your qualifications (optional)

If you are a UAE-licensed professional submitting a correction in your area of expertise, let us know. Expert-flagged corrections are prioritised.

Your email (optional)

We will let you know the outcome if you provide an email address. We never share contact details.

What happens after you submit

1

Review (within 48 hours)

The editorial team reviews your submission and checks it against primary sources.

2

Verification

We verify the correction against official UAE government portals or qualified professional sources. For complex matters, we consult a subject-matter expert.

3

Correction applied (within 24 hours of confirmation)

If the correction is confirmed, we update the page, adjust the 'Last updated' date, and where appropriate note the correction in the page content.

4

Reply to submitter

If you provided an email, we will reply with the outcome — whether we corrected the page, why we disagreed, or if we need more information.

Disagreements

If we disagree with a correction submission, we will explain why — and provide the source we are relying on. If you believe our source is wrong, we will look again. We approach corrections as collaborative fact-finding, not debate.
