UAE Dirham (AED), symbol AED or Dhs. The Dirham is pegged to the US Dollar at a fixed rate of USD 1 = AED 3.6725. This peg has been in place since 1997 and is considered one of the most stable currency pegs globally. Credit cards are accepted nearly everywhere; dollars and euros are also commonly accepted at tourist-facing businesses.
