Bus routes are planned around clusters of existing pupils, not around every residential area near a school, which is why coverage should be confirmed with the transport office directly rather than assumed from a general catchment map. A route that runs this year is not guaranteed to run next year either, since operators consolidate low-uptake routes when too few families along them are actually using the service.
Because the AED 4,000–12,000 range is driven mainly by distance, the honest comparison is transport cost plus rent in a given area against rent alone somewhere closer to the school — the cheaper postcode is not always cheaper once the bus fee is added. Confirming the operator's KHDA transport approval before paying protects you if the service is later suspended for a compliance issue outside your control.
