Can I bring personal medication to Dubai?
Yes for a 90-day personal supply with a valid prescription and original packaging. Some medications are strictly controlled or banned: Tramadol, codeine-containing products, and certain psychiatric medications. Always check the MOHAP approved medication list before travel. Carry a doctor's letter in English and Arabic. Banned medications result in criminal prosecution regardless of home-country prescription.
What happens if I overstay my visa in Dubai?
An AED 50 per day fine accumulates from day one of overstay with a AED 100 entry fee on top. You cannot depart until fines are settled at the airport.
