The rabies vaccination window is the step that catches people out because it runs both ways: a shot given too long before travel falls outside the 12-month ceiling, but one given too recently falls inside the 30-day minimum and is rejected just as firmly. Plan the vaccination date against your travel date first, then book everything else around it, rather than vaccinating on whatever schedule your home vet offers.
The health certificate's 10-day window is tighter still, since it has to be signed close to departure rather than at the start of the process — leaving it until the vaccination and microchip are sorted and then discovering the vet cannot fit you in before the window closes is the last-minute failure mode. The AED 3,000–8,000 range mostly moves on whether the animal needs quarantine inspection on arrival, not on the paperwork itself.
